General Questions

Nittany Energy businesses have been serving Central and Northern Pennsylvania for over 50 years. We are locally owned and operated. Our experience and dependability in delivering quality fuels as well as our top notch service and installation make all the difference. Now, you can count on us for your electricity and natural gas needs as well.

In states like Pennsylvania where energy deregulation is prevalent, utilities maintain and repair energy infrastructure, and deliver electricity and natural gas to customers. Meanwhile, suppliers sell the energy delivered by the utility. It is encouraged that a consumer does their research for information on the status of energy deregulation in Pennsylvania.

In the event of a power outage, you should always contact your local utility company. Nittany Energy has an entire section of our website dedicated to contact information, which you can view here.

Our goal is to provide a competitive rate to our customers, however we cannot guarantee any savings.

Enrollment

We won’t charge you a fee for enrolling with Nittany Energy. However, if you’re already with another supplier, we cannot guarantee that they will or will not charge an early cancellation fee. Make sure you check your contract before switching.

Unless noted by another supplier or utility, the delivery of your service will not directly be affected by switching.

The enrollment process occurs as quickly as possible on our end, however switching times may vary. Prospective customers are encouraged to contact us to get a direct answer on how long the process might be for their particular situation.

Billing & Payment

Depending on the type of plan you select, your rate will change accordingly. Customers of Nittany Energy that are on a fixed rate will not see their rate change during their initial term. When the renewal period occurs, options are presented to the customer to alter their rate. Meanwhile, customers with a variable rate will see their rate changing each month. These rates may be higher or lower depending on the market fluctuation. For additional information, customers are encouraged to refer to our Terms of Service.

At this time, Nittany Energy does not offer renewable or green energy products.

No, you will continue to only receive the bill from your utility. However, as a customer of Nittany Energy, you’ll begin to notice Nittany Energy listed as your provider on the bill.

Nittany Energy offers plans that can accommodate your needs and interests. Our options begin with fixed and variable rates, and are customized thereafter. Those interested in working out personalized plans with us can contact us directly.

Your payment is still sent to your utility company, so expect no change to your payment process!

Cancellation

If you’re convinced that Nittany Energy isn’t the supplier for you, we’re here to help. You can call us at 1-800-870-2140 or else you can contact us here.

Each agreement with Nittany Energy is different, therefore yours might include an early termination fee if you are within the initial term. Refer to your agreement materials or feel free to contact us for assistance.

Much like the enrollment process, Nittany Energy handles each inquiry as quickly as possible. Once the request is received to cancel, we will send a notice to the utility company within one business day following your request. The time the process takes depends on the switching time policies applicable in Pennsylvania.
